Israel Wells
Sports Performance Coach
Israel grew up in the Champaign-Urbana area playing almost every sport throughout middle school and high school with his main love being basketball. After graduation, "I came to the realization that I
wasn't able to play at the collegiate level, which led me to the career path of helping others attain goals that I myself was never able to reach. I found out about the opportunity of being a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer which perfectly merged my interests of helping others and being able to stay
involved in sports."
Israel pursued a degree in Kinesiology, attaining his Associate's degree at Parkland College before completing his Bachelor's in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Afterwards, he worked at Parkland College as a personal trainer for almost 2 years in addition to interning under the U of I Olympic Strength Staff. He also served as the Illinois Basketball Club assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach before joining TPC. "As a trainer and coach, I have really enjoyed seeing individuals of all ages pursue and attain new heights that they didn't think were possible. My biggest passion being given the opportunity to help and witness young athletes succeeding in their goals and dreams of reaching the next level."
In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, playing any sort of sport--especially basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
