What is Change of Direction?

Change of Direction: The ability to accelerate, decelerate, stop, stabilize, and reaccelerate in any direction you choose without losing speed or balance. Four focal points: wide or manageable base, low or manageable center of gravity, strong flat back, and keep your weight on the inside leg. In order for an athlete to improve, they must learn the components necessary for the skill that they are trying to master. Knowledge is power in sports, and knowing how to move quickly and efficiently in any direction gives your athlete a competitive advantage on the field.
